As well as being timetabled in the curriculum, drama is a very popular extra-curricular activity involving more than a third of the School.
There are extra-curricular drama classes, two afternoons a week after school, for boys in Years 2 to 8. Classes focus on games and improvisation creating worlds and characters from the boys’ imagination.
Senior boys in Years 7 and 8 can choose to participate in the spring term senior production in a performing or technical role.
Recent senior productions include;
- A Midsummer Night’s Dream
- A Christmas Carol
- The Ballad of Saloman Pavey
- The Iliad – How It All Began!
- Wilde tales
Boys can also choose to study for graded LAMDA examinations from Year 3 and classes are available in small groups, pairs or one to one. We provide the full range of examinations in performance and public speaking. Our results are excellent and not surprisingly the demand for LAMDA lessons is increasing.
